Good to know

Who should apply for a district?
Your education foundation, if your district has one. The terms ask government entities to apply through an associated nonprofit when one exists. If not, the district applies directly. Schools may submit more than one application within a system, so let your superintendent know.
How much can we request?
There is no set minimum or maximum. Ask for what your project needs and can put to work within about a year.
When do we buy the curriculum?
After funds arrive. Grants can’t pay for costs incurred before funds are released. Awards are announced by February 9, 2027, and funds transfer after you sign the partnership agreement.
What do we report?
Measurable results within a year: an impact survey, a short public summary, and photos (with parent consent for any students shown). The pre- and post-assessments in every kit give you that data.
Is there research behind the curriculum?
Yes. In a University of Kentucky study of two Project Discovery Adapted kits, students’ pre- to post-test scores rose an average of 55 to 62 percent. Ask us for a copy to cite.
Where are the official rules?
On Meta’s fund page and in the ChangeX terms and conditions. Confirm details there before you apply.
